Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to provide high-quality healthcare services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Innisfail QLD.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing primary health care services, particularly in delivering comprehensive care to Indigenous populations. The successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, patient-centered care, including clinic consultations, outreach clinics, and home visits.
* Respond to medical/health problems presented by patients, using evidence-based practice and best available research.
* Develop and implement preventative health care plans for patients, incorporating health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
* Contribute to case conferences with relevant employees and service providers to ensure consistency and consensus.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Requirements
* Qualification as a General Practitioner and current registration with AHPRA.
* Experience providing primary health care services, preferably in an Indigenous setting.
* Ability to achieve targets and contribute to organisational objectives.
* Well-developed organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
