The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales, technical knowledge of used cars, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to our customers.Skills and Experience
* Technical knowledge of used cars, including make and model specifications, vehicle assembly type, body types, engine types, engine capacity, engine performance, safety features, comfort features, technological features, fuel efficiency, emissions control, price ranges, and maintenance requirements.
* A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-year experience in automotive sales and customer service
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with customers
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Conduct pre-purchase inspections of used cars to assess their condition, identify any mechanical or electrical issues that need to be addressed, and determine their value and marketability.
* Assisting technical staff in diagnostics on used cars using specialized equipment and software, identifying any fault codes or issues with the vehicle's systems and components.
* Assist customers in selecting the right used car based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
* Conduct product demonstrations and test drives to showcase the features and benefits of the used cars, like safety, comfort, technology, engine performance, and transmission.
* Provide technical guidance to customers on engine performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions control.
* Negotiate prices and terms of sale with customers, ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.
* Keep up-to-date with competitor activities and changes in market demand for used cars.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicles, and provide advice to customers on their features and benefits.
* Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of automotive products and services, including parts, accessories, and aftermarket upgrades.
* Provide expert advice on maintenance schedules, including oil changes, brake services, and tire rotations, to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
* Collaborate with the service department to ensure that any necessary installation, repair, or upgrade services are carried out promptly to the highest standards before delivering the vehicle.
* Provide exceptional customer service and support.
* Ensuring the delivery of contracted used vehicle(s) to the designated location identified by buying customers.
* Generate subsequent periodic reports on a regular basis, including sales generated, business expenses, etc.
* Keep detailed records of all service and maintenance performed on used cars, as well as any warranty or insurance claims.
