Job Overview
My client, a leading global financial services technology provider with a presence in 35+ countries and Fortune **** clients, is seeking an experienced Virtualisation Administrator to join their Global Infrastructure team.
The role focuses on the transition from VMware to OpenShift, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of virtualised environments.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure and maintain VMware and OpenShift Virtualisation clusters on-premises.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal operation and high availability.
Manage user access, permissions and implement security best practices for containerised applications.
Collaborate with development and engineering teams to optimize applications running on OpenShift.
Lead conversions from VMware to OpenShift Virtualisation and manage existing VMware environments.
Technical Requirements
2+ years' experience as an OpenShift Virtualisation Administrator or similar infrastructure role.
Strong understanding of OpenShift Virtualisation, Kubernetes architecture and containerised environments.
Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations in virtualised environments.
Problem-solving ability under pressure with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
OpenShift, RedHat or VMware certifications are advantageous.
