Your new role

As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership, coordination and mentoring support to a team of Practitioners and Senior Practitioners within the Orange Door. The role will work in partnership with the Orange Door Leadership team to develop and implement a high quality, client focused service response for families in need. Within the integrated model, the Team Leader will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with partner organisations and agencies across the broader service system.

About The Program

The Orange Door Program brings together workforces from Community Service organisations, Aboriginal Services, Family Safety Victoria and DFFH, to deliver an integrated practice model and a consolidated intake point for:
* Women, children, young people, and families who are experiencing or have experienced family violence
* People who use violence
* Families requiring support with the care, development and wellbeing of unborn babies, infants, children, and young people

Uniting focuses on providing services to vulnerable families who require extra support with the care, development and wellbeing of unborn babies, infants, children and young people.

Your skills and experience

You are keen to progress your career into leadership and seek an organisation that will provide you the support and opportunity. You enjoy imparting your knowledge and experience to newer practitioners through mentoring activities.

You Will Bring
* The minimum qualification for this role is a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification

OR have a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience or have a related qualification relevant to child and family welfare as per the mandatory minimum qualifications for family violence practitioners

OR hold significant cultural knowledge and experience or lived experience, and have faced barriers to educational pathways as per the mandatory minimum qualifications for family violence practitioners
* Significant management experience within child, youth and family welfare sector.
* A sound understanding of family and parenting issues, especially in the context of protective concerns
* Commitment to, and understanding of working with marginalised groups including Indigenous and CALD clients
* Sound understanding of the "Best Interests" framework and the Child, Youth and Family Act (2005)
* Valid and current Driver's Licence
