The Targeted Lead Abatement Program (TLAP) is seeking a visionary and results-driven Executive Director to lead its mission of improving community health and reducing lead exposure in Port Pirie.
About TLAP:
TLAP is a groundbreaking partnership between the South Australian Government and Multi-metals Company Nyrstar. Focused on protecting the health of children and families in Port Pirie, TLAP delivers targeted initiatives including land remediation, community health, dust control, strategic projects, and community engagement. With a significant annual budget, this program is making a tangible difference in reducing blood lead levels in children.
The Role:
As the Executive Director, you’ll report directly to the TLAP Board and lead the strategic delivery of this ambitious program. Your work will span community engagement, governance, program implementation, and stakeholder collaboration. You’ll act as the public face of TLAP, working closely with government agencies, industry leaders, and the Port Pirie community to deliver meaningful results.
What You’ll Do:
* Provide strategic leadership to drive TLAP’s objectives and priorities.
* Oversee program delivery, budgets, and contracts with precision and accountability.
* Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government, Nyrstar, and the Port Pirie community.
* Champion community engagement and advocacy to promote TLAP’s mission.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the TLAP Board, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
* Be a visible leader in the community, participating in events and media engagements to build trust and transparency.
