Job Description:
What's the role
The Senior OT (Operational Technology) Security Engineer is responsible for the security and overall management of QGC's Operational Technology. The role involves working with vendors and asset teams to set up, secure, and maintain the OT landscape, develop procedures, and ensure compliance with security standards.
The engineer will represent the OT Security discipline, possess expertise in Control Systems, and have a sound understanding of cyber risk management in industrial environments. They will drive the implementation of security programs.
What you'll be doing
Roles and responsibilities include:
* Create and maintain network diagrams of OT components.
* Manage user access controls, profiles, and remote access security.
* Document and maintain OT security measures, ensure compliance, and manage risks.
* Enforce access controls, password policies, and ensure user competence.
* Monitor security alerts, review logs, manage antivirus and patches, handle incidents, and maintain disaster recovery plans.
* Oversee OT systems like ICSS, Electrical, and PAS; review data security; manage vulnerabilities and supplier access.
* Evaluate and document security controls, manage audits, define remediation actions, and support lifecycle management.
* Provide technical input on OT architecture, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery; support system modifications and maintenance.
* Manage teams of CSIT engineers, conduct site visits, and ensure maintenance processes are followed.
What you bring
To succeed, you should have:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, with relevant certifications.
* Significant experience in a similar role, supporting IT infrastructure and risk management.
* Knowledge of IEC 62443 and experience in OT environments such as oil and gas, mining, or utilities.
* Ability to travel to remote sites.
* Project management experience (desirable).
* Leadership, communication skills, and ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Strong IT support background, with knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, TCP/IP, and ITIL processes.
* Self-motivated with analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
