Working closely with inpatient, community, and rehabilitation services, you will support consumers in achieving independence, skill development, and social inclusion. This role is primarily clinical, with opportunities to contribute to teaching, research, and service improvement initiatives. You will also mentor and support less experienced staff while ensuring best-practice care that aligns with national mental health standards. About you We are looking for a dedicated and skilled mental health professional with strong clinical expertise and leadership capabilities. You will be a proactive team player who is committed to delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care while supporting service improvements and professional development within the unit. To be successful in this role, you will have: Qualifications & Experience – Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, with at least three years of post-registration experience. Leadership & Problem-Solving Skills – Strong ability to lead change, mentor staff, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Collaboration & Consumer Focus – A commitment to consumer and carer participation, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage with community services. Knowledge & Best Practice – A solid understanding of recovery principles, clinical rehabilitation frameworks, contemporary mental health nursing practices, and relevant legislation and professional standards.
