Job Title: Network Systems Engineer
About the Role:
The company is seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting business objectives by developing practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving closure on customer issues raised on GE Smallworld products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for addressing customer issues and concerns with Smallworld applications.
* Competencies: Core Java, EIS: Smallworld Electric Office suite (EO), EIS: Magik.
* 5+ years of experience with GE Smallworld PNI, Core SW4, SW5, EO, GDO, GTO, GSS, GSA, DM, MES, NRM, K8.
* 5+ years of experience with Magik, Java, VMDS & Oracle Database.
* Proficiency in SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files.
Requirements:
* Experience in installation of Operating System patches and other third-party software such as ONA, Data Center Management, etc.
* System configuration and hands-on experience with installation of GE Smallworld suite of products.
* Experience in applying fixes on live customer systems.

Take a leadership role in strategizing with internal staff and customers to solve and prevent issues. Engage with customers on daily issues; organize calls to facilitate solutions while adhering to change control and compliance protocols. Ensure solutions effectively resolve customer issues. Mentor staff in troubleshooting and analysis methods. Write user/technical documentation and case notes; act as a technical resource for staff. Contribute to the Knowledge Base system for customer-specific issues. Analyze and troubleshoot issues involving GE solutions, including user interface, network connectivity, interoperability, data collection/storage, visualization, and analytics.
