We are seeking a Senior Production Designer who will be responsible for supporting engineering efforts to improve and optimise manufacturing processes.
You will work closely with production teams and specialist sub-consultants to ensure efficient, cost-effective and high-quality manufacturing operations.
This is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package including base salary + superannuation.
Main Responsibilities
Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
This includes business case, design and implementation of mechanical improvements to existing and new plant and equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues
Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and technical documentation to support engineering designs and manufacturing processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain
Analyse production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Support engineers and drafting technicians to ensure deliverables are achieved in accordance with business priorities
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Provide technical leadership and support to production teams on development of processes and systems
Project Management of the delivery of projects ranging from minor mechanical/ electrical improvements to large scale procurement and commissioning
Support the delivery of capital works program
About YouTo be successful in this role you will need:
Strong leadership and communication skills
Expertise in manufacturing processes, equipment and tools
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar and other engineering tools
Problem-solving abilities and data analysis skills
Experience in supervising cross-functional teams and projects
Background in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering or similar
Qualifications
Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Several years of experience in manufacturing engineering role with increasing responsibility.
