The key duties of the position include The Role The Australian Army Battle Lab is seeking a Project Support Officer to join the Land Domain Publications (LDP) Production Team. As the lead of the Production Team, the individual must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to work within tight timeframes, while producing high quality products for release to wider Army. The Project Support Officer will work with limited direction to manage production timelines, provide clear and consistent communication, be available to answer technical and product queries, set clear performance goals, delegate responsibility where required and guide and develop the team. The media and communications component of the role will assist with the development, implementation and production of a range of internal and external communication products and publications for Army. About our Team The Army Battle Lab team is an integrated workforce comprising of full and part time military members, APS and Contractors at various levels and spread throughout Australia. The four branches within the Battle Lab consist of Army Lessons (AL), Land Domain Publications (LDP), Land Simulation & Wargaming (LS&W) and the Training Adversary Cell (TAC) Land Domain Publications is a team of military personnel and APS employees. The LDP team is responsible for: Day-to-day management and governance of LPubs. Maintaining the L-Library. Develop knowledge products to satisfy knowledge requirements. Disseminating knowledge products to end users. Supporting LPub Content Advisers for the development of LPubs. Modernise Doctrine. The Production team is responsible for formatting, producing, and disseminating Land Domain publications. The Production team is located in Puckapunyal VIC. Team responsibilities are to produce Land Domain publications and products in PDF format, press format for printing by Defence Publishing Service. Produce HTML that is required for the modernisation of Doctrine. Additionally, the Project Support Officer manages the Land Domain Publications online library, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of publications and fielding Requests for Information (RFIs) and feedback on existing publications. Our Ideal Candidate This role would ideally suit a professional, well organised individual with a background in working with structured content and a working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop to create documents.
