About the Role:
The Learning Experience Designer plays a crucial role in creating and delivering engaging, inclusive, and effective digital learning experiences. This position works along slide learning designers, learning media developers, academic staff, and key stakeholders to develop captivating learning content and assist in selecting teaching strategies. The goal is to align with educational best practices and utilise technology to enhance student success.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Support academic staff in the design and development of high-quality, engaging digital learning materials.
* Utilise and integrate technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and interactive learning tools (H5P, GroupMap, and Slido), to enhance the digital learning environment.
* Apply user experience (UX) principles and universal design in learning (UDL) to ensure materials are accessible and effective for diverse learners.
* Review existing learning materials to ensure they meet set quality standards. Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement necessary upgrades to enhance the learning experience.
* Utilise data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning experiences. Monitor performance and engagement metrics to inform the continuous development and refinement of course content and strategies.
* Create resources and facilitate workshops that empower staff to integrate digital technologies into their teaching or unit design.
* Provide training and support to academic and professional staff on digital learning tools, driving usage of these tools to enhance teaching practices and the overall learning experience.
* Ensure that all media and digital content comply with Curtin policies, brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and copyright laws, including relevant legislation.
* Ensure educational materials are appropriately designed for delivery through the Learning Management System and are consistent with the University's standards for quality, usability, and student engagement.
* As a member of the University community, demonstrate the highest possible standards of professional and personal conduct, modelling the University's Values and Signature Behaviours.
* Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do by the line manager, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
Role Requirements:
1. As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
