Bennic Safety Fall Protection Pty Ltd is a privately owned company based in Cairns, specialising in installation, service and sales of height/roof safety access equipment. As we continue to experience sustained growth and an increasing demand in our company, we are on the lookout for new installation/service labourer to join our friendly team. We require a casual employee (with the opportunity to go full time) working roughly 38 hours a week, preferably a young fit worker able to handle the condition of working outside and on roofs
What you’ll do:
* Working with a site supervisor to install and annually service height safety systems and equipment (mainly on roofs). Comprising of harnesses, anchor points, static lines, guardrail systems, walkway systems, etc
* Working with battery tools and hand tools (which will be supplied)
* Working to our Safe Work Method Statement (this means conducting the work as safe as possible with no risk of injury or fall from heights)
* Ensure customer satisfaction and timely turn-around on all installations and services
* Engage in continuing education to maintain your knowledge and understanding of equipment, methods, and standards
* Participate in external and internal audits as required
What you’ll bring
* No experience required. However, experience with tools and any building knowledge will help to learn quickly how to install and build height safety access systems
* An attitude that is willing to learn from our supervisors
* Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Accuracy and a good eye for attention to detail
* Solid communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and customers
* Comfortable working with computers and software when required
* Comfortable working at heights and in warm/humid weather conditions
* Certificate of Education (Year 12 minimum is ideal but no required)
* Australian Manual Drivers Licence
