Job Opportunity:
The Mental Health Nurse Specialist will deliver specialized care management and clinical support to individuals and families affected by Huntington's Disease.
This role requires working within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care across community, inpatient, and outpatient settings, providing education and therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with health professionals and support services to ensure holistic, person-centered care.

* A current understanding of nursing principles, procedures, and practices in mental health services and/or Huntington's Disease Services, aligned with legal and ethical requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (ANMB) National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses.
* A knowledge and understanding of the psychosocial and health needs of patients/clients and their families/carers and their application to nursing practice in the mental health services and/or Huntington's Disease Service setting, including an understanding of maintaining appropriate therapeutic relationships with clients/patients and their family/carers.
* Demonstrated expertise in mental health nursing, including assertive case management, triage, holistic physical and mental health assessment, clinical risk management, and crisis intervention within the community setting.
