The newly established Digital Canberra Directorate (DCBR) responsible for overseeing all digital and IT functions across the ACT Public Service, is seeking to appoint an experienced, energetic and forward-thinking Executive Branch Manager to lead the Governance and Risk Branch. Reporting to the Chief Performance Officer, this role will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance and risk frameworks within DCBR that support informed decision-making, foster a culture of accountability and ensure statutory compliance. Responsibility for DCBR’s audit program and governance reporting also sit with this role. The ability to establish strong relationships to effectively influence decision-makers on complex risk and compliance matters is essential, as this role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive excellence in governance and support the roll out whole-of-government initiatives. Applicants should have an extensive understanding of risk management concepts and frameworks, as well as demonstrated experience both leading teams and partnering with stakeholders within a public sector environment to embed contemporary risk frameworks that strengthen governance across the organisation. Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $255,497 - $263,368 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $224,886. Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years.
