Are you ready to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on role at the forefront of the rapidly growing renewable energy industry? We are looking for a resourceful and adept Project Officer to support our Development team in delivering the development of the Boomer Green Energy Hub project in Rockhampton.
About the Role
Joining Ark Energy’s Development team full time in Rockhampton, as the Project Officer, you will report directly to the Senior Development Manager. In this role, you will support the team in delivering the development of the Boomer Green Energy Hub project (located near Marlborough), by representing Ark Energy, assisting with on-site activities and providing daily project support to the Senior Development Manager. You will be the local point of contact for the Project team at the Ark Energy Rockhampton shopfront, while also coordinating and executing tasks on site. The successful candidate may be required to go to site for up to a week at a time. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Coordinate and participate in site visits, field surveys, early works and inspection programs with a range of stakeholders, including the Development team, landowners and contractors.
* In consultation with the Development team and local contractors, support the installation, maintenance and management of resource monitoring equipment including Lidar, Sodar and meteorological masts.
* Organize site access requirements such as weed washdowns and any other environmental or site management needs.
* Attend and maintain the Ark Energy Boomer Green Energy Hub office and information center.
* Responsible for ensuring that their site interactions and any other interactions are recorded in Ark Energy systems and followed up and addressed.
About You:
With demonstrated experience working autonomously in field-based operations, you are practical and resourceful, as well as safety-conscious with a strong commitment to maintaining safe working environments. Highly self-motivated, your excellent organisational and time management abilities enable you to adapt to changing priorities and challenges. Additionally, your strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills help you maintain and further develop our valued working relationships with landowners and the community. You are proactive and a great team player, with a genuine interest in safety, risk management, sustainability and contributing to a greener future. To help you succeed in this role, you will have:
* On site experience and/or practical construction/earthworks/land management experience.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel to project sites (primarily Boomer Project) on a very frequent basis.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other role related software.
* 4WD operation experience essential, training and/or recovery experience preferred.
* Experience in field use of GIS/Mapping software is beneficial.
* Demonstrated experience in supporting development of renewable energy projects or other large-scale infrastructure projects with similar key concepts including land tenure, planning, environment etc. (preferred).
* Experience and knowledge of project management (preferred).
