Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of the City's corporate narrative, strategic messaging and brand stewardship across whole-of-organisation initiatives.
* Focus on Council-driven and corporate communications, supporting advocacy efforts, major strategic projects and organisational priorities.
* Ensure the City presents a clear, consistent and confident voice to the community, stakeholders and partners.
Qualifications
* High-level expertise in strategic communications, corporate communications, public affairs or public relations.
* Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive and strategically aligned messages.
* Strong understanding of public sector governance and political environments.
* Proven ability to lead complex communications work involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
* Tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, public relations, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic communications or a corporate communications role, or related environment.
