About the Position
Charles Darwin University (CDU) is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Lecturer in Electrical Engineering to join our Faculty of Science and Technology.
In this role, you will enhance the teaching and research profile, delivering engaging and high-quality education across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels using innovative teaching methods such as on-campus, online, and blended learning approaches.
You will inspire students, drive innovative research, and contribute to curriculum design in fields such as power systems, renewable energy, and sustainable technologies.
About You
A PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, teaching, and assessment in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and related areas, capable of delivering high-quality learning experiences across on-campus, online, and blended formats.
Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations with emphasis on compliance and risk management in electrical and electronic laboratory environments.
Strong research record, including the ability to produce high-quality research outputs and secure external research funding.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate within academic teams and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
Keen knowledge of sustainable practices in teaching, research, and administration aligned with university policies.
Experience fostering industry relationships to support research, curriculum relevance, and student employability.
Industrial experience or active engagement with industry in Renewable Technologies or related fields.
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and experience developing and integrating innovative teaching content.
Experience supervising research students, guiding design, execution and dissemination of findings.
Graduate Certificate in University Teaching & Learning or HEA Fellowship.
Remuneration
Appointment: Research Active Academic Level B. Base salary range: $116,429 to $137,659 per annum.
Total remuneration package: $136,221 to $161,061 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
