Dang Bakery House PTY LTD is looking for an experienced Pastrycook (cake and Pastry) on a full-time basis, you will be part of a multidisciplinary and well-supported team.
Title: Pastrycook (cake and Pastry), Full- time position
Salary: A$ 70,000.00 to 95,000.00 plus super
Work Location: Caloundra Village Shopping Centre, 1 Ormuz Ave, Caloundra QLD 4551
We are looking for applicants who demonstrate the following:
Requirements & Skills
· A relevant qualification: Certificate IV or higher in Patisserie or Commercial cookery in a related field.
· Proven experience as a Pastrycook for at least or more than 3 years.
· Proficiency in baking techniques and pastry preparation.
· Attention to detail and artistic flair for decorating and presentation.
· Good organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines, especially during busy periods.
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
· Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
· Physical stamina for standing and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
· Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, or public holidays as required.
Responsibilities & Task
· Preparing doughs, batters, and fillings for a wide range of baked products.
· Baking, assembling, and decorating cakes, tarts, pastries, and desserts.
· Following recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.
· Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results.
· Maintaining a clean and organised work area according to food safety regulations.
· Managing inventory of baking ingredients and supplies and ordering as required.
· Collaborating with chefs and kitchen staff for menu planning and seasonal specials.
· Creating new recipes and trialling innovative baking techniques.
· Ensuring all products meet presentation standards before sale or service.
· Adhering to occupational health and safety procedures, including safe equipment use.
