As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to join the WorkingMouse team.
This role sits at the centre of our delivery squads, ensuring projects move forward with clarity, confidence, and strong client engagement.
The Role
As a Delivery Lead, you will own the successful delivery of 1–2 concurrent software projects, working closely with developers, solution architects, and clients.
This is a squad-embedded leadership role that combines delivery coordination, client communication, and project oversight. Your focus will be maintaining alignment across the team, managing delivery risks, and ensuring projects progress smoothly from planning through to release.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead Project Delivery
* Lead the delivery of 1–3 concurrent projects.
* Manage delivery timelines, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution while maintaining clear visibility for leadership.
* Build trusted working relationships with client stakeholders and maintain confidence throughout the delivery lifecycle.
* Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution.
* Track project milestones and delivery progress.
* Support resource planning and workload visibility across delivery squads in collaboration with the CTO.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams
* Facilitate stand‐ups and delivery ceremonies.
* Coordinate developers, designers, and solution architects.
* Maintain backlog clarity and readiness with the Solution Architect to ensure work is well defined for development.
* Escalate delivery risks early and work with leadership to resolve them.
Support Commercial & Delivery Outcomes
* Validate milestone completion to support invoicing.
* Provide clear delivery updates and reporting to leadership.
* Contribute delivery insights to proposals or tenders when required.
People Leadership
* Foster a collaborative squad environment that supports strong delivery outcomes.
* Provide day‐to‐day leadership and guidance to the delivery team.
* Maintain team alignment, clear priorities, and continuous improvement through feedback and retrospectives.
What We're Looking For
You enjoy bringing structure and calm to complex delivery work.
You are likely:
* Experienced in leading complex software delivery projects.
* Comfortable working closely with engineers and technical teams.
* Confident communicating with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Calm under pressure and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
* Proactive in identifying and managing risks before they elevate.
Experience in the following will be highly regarded:
* Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
* Enterprise or government clients.
* Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO27001 highly regarded.
* Digital transformation or legacy system modernisation projects.
* You should be comfortable engaging with technical concepts and collaborating closely with engineering teams.
