Electrical Engineer Position
This is a senior electrical engineer role based in Townsville, Queensland. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our operations engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small electrical engineering team and working collaboratively with other disciplines to provide technical support and guidance to the operations and maintenance areas.
A key aspect of this role is to scope, design, implement and facilitate plant improvement projects and capital works. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety and statutory compliance for both the Copper Refinery and Port Operations.
To be considered for this role, you will require a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years' experience in a similar position. You will also need to have demonstrated leadership skills and a strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Acts and Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a small electrical engineering team
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide technical support and guidance to the operations and maintenance areas.
* Scope, design, implement and facilitate plant improvement projects and capital works.
* Ensure safety & statutory compliance for both the Copper Refinery and Port Operations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification – Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
* Minimum of 5 years' experience (postgraduate)
* Previous leadership experience
* Demonstrated design/construction experience
* Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Acts and Regulations

This is a residential role requiring a Monday – Friday day shift roster; however, you may be requested to be flexible in terms of work times and rosters.
