About Us:
The Department of Justice and Community Safety provides compliance, enforcement, and regulatory services to the Victorian Community.
The Justice Officer provides administration and client service duties, as required by the locations and the region. As such, the role is part of a regional administration team, and therefore requires a commitment to team building and the efficient delivery of administrative services across the region. The region delivers a range of Justice Services including Community Correctional Services, Sheriff's operations, Consumer Affairs and front of house enquiries including Births, Deaths and Marriages application lodgements.
About the Role:
Administrative duties will include human resource and financial activities appropriate to the grade, and operational support activities for the various programs delivered at the locations. Client service duties may include reception, the provision of information to clients across the Justice service spectrum, payments, basic registrations, and general customer service, both face to face and via telephone as required.
The role requires a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, integrity, accuracy, compliance and timeliness.
About You:
As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
* Well-developed computer literacy and administration skills.
* Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
* The ability to assist clients to navigate the linkages between the department's range of services.
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations would be advantageous.
Qualifications
* A current Victorian driver's licence is required.
