As a Geotechnical Engineer at Arup, you will work closely with clients and project engineers to understand project requirements and deliver high-value, ground-informed solutions. You will investigate, analyse, and interpret ground conditions to inform safe, efficient, and innovative design outcomes. From early‐stage consultation through to detailed reporting, you will help clients get the very best value out of the ground.

The Opportunity

* Undertake geotechnical design and analysis across a range of projects, including desktop studies, investigation scoping, geotechnical interpretation, design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reporting under limited supervision.
* Plan, specify, and manage site investigations and laboratory testing programs, including input into logistics, H&S management plans, and on‐site implementation.
* Collate and analyse field and laboratory data, performing geotechnical analyses to support project design and delivery.
* Liaise with internal engineers, project teams, clients, sub‐consultants, and contractors to develop project‐specific solutions and maintain strong working relationships.
* Deliver high‐quality technical outputs in line with Arup's Quality Management System, ensuring accuracy and excellence in your work.

Is this role right for you?

* A recognised tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and eligibility for Chartership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in geotechnical design and construction, including medium to large‐scale infrastructure projects.
* Experience planning, managing, supervising, and interpreting geotechnical investigations.
* Working knowledge of industry‐standard geotechnical software such as gINT, OpenGround, Slope/W, PLAXIS, and Leapfrog.
* Strong communication, organisation, and time‐management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
