About the Role

This position is located across our Forest Hill office (2 days per week) and Dandenong office (1 day per week) and is responsible for assisting in managing the provision of administration support to the Area Managers Eastern and Southern Services, the Senior Admin Officer, Out of Home Care, Education, and Family Services teams in Eastern and Southern Metro. The position reports to the Senior Administration Officer and supports the functioning of the Forest Hill and Dandenong offices, liaising with staff from MacKillop's central office and a wide range of government and non-government agencies. The Administration Officer will oversee the local integration and alignment of all back office functions, including contracting and standards development, policy development, community relations, finance and business services, and human resource management in partnership with Melbourne-based executive members and their teams. The role will also support staff and programs across the Eastern and Southern Services and ensure compliance requirements in the Forest Hill and Dandenong offices. This is a fixed-term (until November 2026) part-time (0.6 EFT) opportunity.

Key Selection Criteria

* A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
* Demonstrated administrative experience and organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst working to tight deadlines.
* Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to provide assistance to both internal and external persons.
* Sound financial administration skills and the capacity to integrate these with generalist administrative/project management work.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including a demonstrated capacity to work and liaise effectively with a range of people.
* Well-developed computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel as a minimum. Knowledge of other software packages desirable as is developing and managing spread sheets/databases.

You Must Have a

* Valid and current Driver's Licence;
