We are currently looking for dedicated Support Worker to join a team within the Wangaratta area to work with a customer that requires full time care.
The roster for this team is broken up into 3 time slots
* Morning - 8am to 3pm (2 people)
* Afternoon - 3pm to 8pm/10pm (2 people)
* Active Overnight - 8pm to 8am (1 person)
Pay rates range from
* Week days - $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
* Active overnights - $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
* Weekend and Public holiday rates - $45.00+ per hour
Duties and responsibilities include:
* Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
* Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping, travelling to medical appointments
* Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, meal preparation
* Supporting the customer in the use of aids and personal equipment
* Supporting the customer with complex and/or challenging needs
* Monitoring the well-being of the customer and reporting on their progress
* Provide updates on the customer’s progress following each service
About you:
* Experience in the field is an advantage
* Caring, compassionate & friendly
* Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
* Reliable & dependable
* Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
* Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback
What you will need:
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
* Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
* Current First Aid certificate/CPR
* Current Australian Drivers License
* Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
* Smart phone with internet access
* Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
* Manual Handling Certificate
* Medication Administration certificate is an advantage
