If so, we have the perfect role for you Australian BioResources (ABR) is a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in breeding and maintaining high-quality laboratory mice for medical researchers across NSW and throughout Australia. As an ABR Facility Technician, you will join our team and contribute to vital medical research by supporting the staff that care for precious research mice. This is an entry-level role that requires no previous experience or qualifications, as we provide full training. THE OPPORTUNITY We have a casual opportunity available. What We're Looking For: Attention to Detail : Your meticulous approach to cleaning and organization ensures that our facilities adhere to the highest standards. Team Player : Collaborate with our dedicated animal care staff and other team members to create a positive and efficient working environment. For our casual position the hourly rate is $34.16 super. What you will do: Prepare clean boxes, bedding, and consumables, ensuring the highest standards are maintained. Distribute equipment and materials around the facility, including animal holding areas, laboratories, and workspaces Cleaning and ensuring hygiene in staff rooms, administration rooms, staff change rooms, and access corridors, creating a clean and welcoming environment. Operate specialised washing and decontamination equipment (training will be provided) To be successful in this role you will need to: Be able to clean to a high standard and work according to a schedule Follow instructions in using and cleaning high-tech equipment such as autoclaves Have a good level of fitness, including ability to lift and perform general manual handling tasks Possess a strong commitment to animal welfare Work individually or as a member of a team Be reliable and punctual You will need your own transportation.
