Our client is currently recruiting to join their precast and dry cast concrete facility in varying areas. With big things on the horizon for Brisbane - such as the Olympics - now is the time to come onboard. While they are looking for great skills and experience, they are also in a position to offer training for those candidates who may not have industry experience if they were truly interested in becoming part of the family.
Production worker your daily responsibilities and activities are listed below but not limited to - Available Areas:
Precast Team (Large Product Manufacturing)
Working in a large open shed environment producing:
* Assisting with mould preparation and setup
* Stripping moulds
* General production and yard duties
* Use of Hand and Power Tools
Dry Cast Team (Smaller Concrete Products)
* Positioning and shifting reo (reinforcement) cages into moulds
* Assisting gantry operations during concrete pours
* Maintaining a clean and safe work area
* Preparing moulds and production lines for upcoming orders
Rio Welding Team
* MIG welding reinforced steel for concrete pour
* Fabricating reo bars
* General workshop and yard housekeeping
What You Will Need:
* Driver's licence + reliable transport
* Previous precast factory experience highly regarded
* Physically fit - this is labour-intensive work
* Good attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
* Experience in precast or welding an advantage
* Able to pass a pre-employment medical & Drug and Alcohol screen
What we Offer:
* Shift Times: 5am shifts but can be 4am shifts as well, 8-10hr shifts 1-2pm finishes
* Ongoing training and upskilling opportunities
* Monday - Friday Shifts
* Consistant hours with Overtime
