The Coffs Harbour Bypass is a 14-kilometre bypass of the Coffs Harbour urban area, from England's Road in the south to Sapphire in the north and is a once-in-a-generation project for the mid-north coast community.
Ferrovial and Gamuda Joint Venture (FGJV) are the proud design and construct delivery partners for the delivery of the Coffs Harbour Bypass - a significant, unique and exceptional major infrastructure project that will leave a legacy of innovation and sustainability in the region for communities of today and tomorrow.
FGJV is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Supervisor to manage and coordinate daily on-site operations for the Coffs Harbour Bypass. You will ensure work progresses according to scope, schedule, and safety standards, while leading subcontractors and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.
Key to success in this role is the ability to drive team performance by fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment, ensuring each crew member understands their role and is empowered to deliver their best on a high pressure civil infrastructure site.
A key part of this role is taking ownership of onsite safety leadership, ensuring all activities comply with HSEQ standards and Safe Work Method Statements, with a strong focus on risk mitigation and safety culture across large-scale civil infrastructure environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
* Lead site teams and subcontractors to meet program and quality targets.
* Deliver pre-starts and toolbox talks with a strong safety focus.
* Monitor progress and proactively mitigate delays.
* Review Safe Work Method Statements and ensure HSEQ compliance.
* Collaborate with engineering teams on planning and execution.
* Maintain accurate daily reporting via the projects Safety Management System - Hammertech.
* Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment.
* Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety leadership.
To be successful in this role, you must have
* Relevant trade qualifications.
* Trade qualifications in civil construction, earthmoving, plant operations, or any recognised construction trade.
* Minimum 8 years' experience construction roadworks on TfNSW Projects.
* Experience in civil construction, major infrastructure projects, road construction, or any construction type.
* Ability to read and interpret design plans and have a strong technical understanding of construction methods.
* Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
