Job Description What Aurora Dairies can offer you Aurora Dairies are currently seeking an Assistant Farm Manager for a dairy farm located at Bushy Park on the edge of the Styx River in Southern Tasmania, located 50 minutes from Hobart and 20 minutes from New Norfolk in the Derwent Valley. The farm is approximately 542ha effective area, with 390ha under pivot irrigation and 47ha under hard hose irrigation. This farm is currently milking 1,000 cows, through a 50 bail rotary shed with ACR's, auto teat spray and auto draft via DeLaval herd management system. This farm is 100% Spring calving beginning in mid-August. Accommodation is available and there could be opportunities for employment for your partner, if required. Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures. Herd management and nutrition, including calving, hospital herd care, AI/mating planning, dairy shed work and more.
