The City of Victor Harbor is seeking a skilled WHS and Risk Management Officer to champion safety, risk management and wellbeing across our organisation.
In this role, you'll work closely with all business units to strengthen our safety culture, support risk-aware decision-making, and help create a workplace where our people can confidently and safely perform at their best.
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for an enthusiastic, outcomes-driven individual who is passionate about Workplace Health and Safety and Risk Management.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent experience) with sound knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and codes of practice.
* Demonstrated experience planning, implementing and reviewing WHS and Risk Management policies, programs and initiatives.
* Proven ability to assess and evaluate risk, conduct compliance audits, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills, with the ability to provide WHS and risk management training and advice across an organisation.
