About the role and team

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Workflow Developer/Analyst to join our Client Solutions team.

The Client Solutions team sits within Corporate Services and has approximately 15 employees nationally.

The Senior Workflow Developer/Analyst will design and develop matter and case management solutions that drive business process improvement, uphold client service standards, and meet reporting requirements. This role focuses on delivering solutions that enhance both client and user experiences by integrating legal practice knowledge with technology, knowledge management, business analysis, process optimisation, and project management.

Experience in document automation and assembly is highly valued, as there may be opportunities to support document automation projects during periods of increased demand.

Working closely with the Workflow Solutions Manager and Document Automation Specialists, you will be responsible for:

* leading consultations with the sections to identify, clarify and document their requirements to develop processes and workflows;
* designing and developing complex, scalable processes and workflows using a visual modeller tool in the case/matter management solution;
* translating strategic business and client needs into technology solutions, providing clear options, recommendations and implementation strategies;
* assisting with leading project management and change management of the case/matter management solution rollout, as well as other internal and client applications developed by the Client Solutions team;
* creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for case/matter management solutions;
* leading and participating in testing and implementing the solutions that are developed;
* managing multiple projects concurrently balancing competing priorities with minimal oversight;
* sharing expertise and mentoring and developing junior colleagues;
* exploring and promoting innovation and continuous improvement, evolving ways of working and embracing the use of technology; and
* assisting in reviewing client reporting and creating reporting specifications based on the client's requirements.

About you

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

* extensive experience (5+ years) working with legal case/matter management solutions (eg Sharedo, Caseflow, Mattersphere, Visualfiles etc);
* demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders including senior leaders;
* strong communication and relationship management skills;
* advanced business analysis and solution design skills with a strong understanding of legal process improvement;
* project management skills and ability to utilise change management models and tools;
* knowledge of legal technology, including technical platforms, specific technical applications and their impact on the practice of law;
* expertise with client reports and specification documents;
* experience with document automation/assembly within a case/matter management context highly regarded (with potential for surge project work);
* familiarity with the use of professional software engineering methodologies and technologies (SDLC) including time recording, code management, testing development, staging and test environments and change request specification;
* demonstrated ability to navigate diverse stakeholder perspectives and organisational priorities;
* strong accuracy attention to detail;
* advanced problem-solving capabilities and ability to effectively communicate insights clearly;
* a demonstrated capacity to plan, priorities and co-ordinate a demanding and varied workload, with a clear ability to meet timelines; and
* ability to follow instructions and work in a team, as well as autonomously.
