**About the role**
As a valued **Laboratory Technician**reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, you'll join a small, supportive team dedicated to accurate sampling and analysis that keeps gold and base metal production running smoothly. This rare and stable role offers a chance to make a real impact while being part of something long-lasting.
**Roster**:7/7, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)

**Key responsibilities**
- Prepare samples for fire assay and wet chemistry
- Operate the AAS spectrometer for solution analysis
- Operate the ICP for base metal analysis
- Operate the XRF for advanced elemental analysis
- Manage shipment assays of concentrate and bullion
- Enter data accurately into laboratory information management system
- Maintain good work preparation and housekeeping standardsOccasionally assist Maintenance or Operations in the processing plant
**Qualifications and experience**

- Capable of working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Effective communicator with good initiative and judgement
- Demonstrated strong commitment to personal and team safety and continuous improvements
- Numerical skills and proficiency in Word and Excel
- First aid certificate, forklift licence, and laboratory certificates are desirable
- Ability to pass an Australian Police ClearanceAustralian Work Rights
