Fleet Manager Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our diverse fleet of vehicles in Northern Australia and Timor-Leste.
* Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization, maintenance, and replacement.
* Oversee the administration and coordination of all regional vehicle fleet-related activities, including procurement, maintenance, cleaning and detailing, registration, insurance, and disposal.
* Liaise with clients to determine requirements and provide advice on vehicle type, purchase or hire rates, and obligations.
* Manage transportation schedules, arrange collection and delivery of vehicles and goods, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fleet management with logistics and operations planning.
* Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and develop strong relationships with vendors, service providers, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
* Substantial experience (3+ years) in fleet management, preferably within Defence, Resources, Transport, or Logistics industries.
* Thorough understanding of fleet management best practices, including optimisation, maintenance, and compliance.
* A working knowledge of risk, compliance, and fleet management systems.
* Proficient in the use of fleet management software and data analysis tools.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
* Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
* Fluency in English and Timorese (Tetum).
* Flexibility to travel overseas and work outside standard hours from time to time.
* Current or ability to obtain unrestricted Australian driver's license.
