CLCAC was established over 40 years ago in Moungibi (Burketown) to represent the rights & interests of Traditional Owners. We support native title, PBC business and economic development and First Nations land and environment management programs with the overall goal of being the leader of sustainable indigenous community development in the lower Gulf region, where our people are self‑determined and empowered to take control of country, culture and their economic future.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Administration Officer to join our team of professionals, based in our Cairns Head Office.
As the Administration Officer, you will efficiently and effectively organise and coordinate the operations of the Cairns office and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Project teams to ensure smooth operation of the daily activities.
Responsibilities
* Carry out all reception duties, including but not limited, to greeting clients and guests, receiving calls and redirecting to applicable team members and ensuring all amenities are kept tidy and fully stocked.
* Work collaboratively with team members to provide administrative assistance and support as required across a range of projects.
* Ensure all office supplies are maintained and ordered when necessary.
* Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure that all routine maintenance and ad hoc maintenance is carried out.
* Assist with hard copy and digital filing aligning with CLCAC policy.
* Work flexibly and collaboratively with other administrative staff to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient administration services to meet the needs of the organisation.
* Provide administrative support to key projects, events and other activities as required including supporting various team functions.
* Assist with travel arrangements such as flights, accommodation purchase orders and other tasks.
* Assist with the procurement of goods and services required by CLCAC.
Qualifications
* Post‑Secondary qualifications in Business Administration, or a combination of equivalent training and experience.
* Experience working in a similar role.
* Advanced computer literacy and proficiency working within Microsoft Office Suite.
* Advanced organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a diverse range of people.
* Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software.
* Experience with MS Teams.

The offer
* The position is a full‑time based in our Cairns Head Office and may involve minor and irregular out‑of‑hours work and travel to the lower Gulf of Carpentaria region, including Moungibi, Normanton, Gununa (Mornington Island), Doomadgee or Gregory.
* Salary Range: $61,958 to 75,322 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
* CLCAC is a Private Benevolent Institution: Salary sacrifice arrangements and Meal Entertainment Benefits are available.
* Generous Leave entitlements including 5 weeks annual leave and long service leave entitlement of 13 weeks after just 7 years of continuous service.
