Overview
Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Senior Electrical Project Manager within a leading mining and resources organisation. Due to ongoing asset upgrades to improve project performance, this exciting contract opportunity is available.
You will provide effective technical expertise and engineering governance to a range of small scale projects.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for capital projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards
* Manage project stakeholders, including senior internal teams, contractors, and external vendors
* Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and track progress effectively
* Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
* Implement and maintain project management methodologies and best practices
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and reporting
* Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
* 10+ years of proven experience project managing brownfield capital projects within a mining environment
* Previous experience with HV, LV electrical and control systems
* Knowledge of electrical design, installation, and commissioning processes
* Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, statutory and regulatory frameworks
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in project management software and tools
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
* Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
* Highly technical and detailed
* Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
Additional information
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with mining experience. This is a 12-month contract role based in Adelaide with fortnightly site travel.
