Team Lead - Mental Health
The Team Leader (Family Domestic and Sexual Violence Mental Health Therapies) FDSVMH provides day-to-day clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary mental health team comprising Psychologists, Mental Health Nurses, Mental Health‐accredited Social Workers and Mental Health‐accredited Occupational Therapists.
The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high‐quality, trauma, violence and culturally‐informed mental health services to individuals and families impacted by family, domestic and sexual violence. The Team Leader supports clinical excellence through supervision, workforce development, and practice guidance, while overseeing service coordination, compliance with funding and organisational requirements, and continuous quality improvement.
Working collaboratively with the Service Lead and key internal and external stakeholders, the Team Leader fosters a safe, supportive and accountable team culture that prioritises client safety, recovery‐oriented practice, cultural safety and integrated care across the mental health and FDSV service system.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and supervision to Mental health team, to ensure that the organisational and funding guidelines are being adhered to.
* Provide effective human resource management to the Mental health including recruitment, selection and onboarding, performance management, absence management, workforce planning, in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures.
* Ensure the Work Health and Safety policies and procedures are observed and complied with at a personal level and by all team members.
* Develop effective partnerships and collaborative working styles with key stakeholders to build referral pathways and a network of services.
* Communicate effectively with organisations and staff working to support relevant initiatives in this and other catchment areas to promote seamless service across Western Australia. Systems and Process Improvement
* Initiate, support and implement quality improvement initiatives.
* Ensure the efficacy of internal systems and work with the Service Lead, General Manager, Executive and other team members to continuously improve business processes.
* Contribute to the completion of reports and administrative duties to satisfy the organisational and funding requirements.
* Relevant degree or tertiary qualification in Mental Health
* Current AHPRA registration or AASW membership.
* Substantial Mental health or related leadership experience.
* Demonstrated Leadership experience
* Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team orientation and customer focus.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem‐solving skills to develop strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolving issues.
* Comprehensive computer literacy in Microsoft suite, patient management systems.
* Experience working in a not for profit, charitable or non‐government organisation
* Experience leading service delivery across multiple locations
* Formal training and experience in risk management processes Required Compliance Documents
* Valid National Police certificate.

Package:
* Pay Rate: $69/hr
