The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Portfolio Manager - Trunk Utilities to lead the planning, development, and delivery of BAC's critical trunk infrastructure including power, water, and sewerage systems.
This portfolio will deliver projects up to $50 million in value and is key to enabling the future growth and sustainability of the Airport precinct.
Reporting to the Head of Development and Delivery, the successful candidate will lead a team of planning, development and project management professionals and be accountable for the end-to-end management of the Trunk Utilities Capital Portfolio.
This includes strategy development, business case preparation, investment governance, stakeholder engagement, regulatory coordination, performance reporting, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Trunk Utilities Capital Business Plan, ensuring alignment with BAC's strategic and master planning objectives
Engage with internal stakeholders and external authorities to ensure responsive and future-focused infrastructure solutions
Oversee the development of robust business cases and manage investment processes
Ensure consistent portfolio governance, best practice delivery standards, and effective reporting mechanisms
Identify and deliver opportunities for portfolio optimisation, risk mitigation, and benefits realisation
Support the facilitation of the Portfolio Oversight Group, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements
Drive innovation and ensure all projects prioritise safety, sustainability, and compliance
We are looking for a strategic and proven leader who brings :
Significant experience in the planning and delivery of trunk utilities infrastructure
Minimum 5 years' experience in capital portfolio or program management
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline (essential)
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams in complex capital environments
Experience working with utility providers and managing regulatory relationships
Financial planning and risk management experience at a portfolio level
