About this Opportunity
This role plays a critical part in driving HSE performance standards across multiple sites within the business, providing specialised technical guidance, advice, and support on Work Health & Safety matters, ensuring compliance and consistency in both corporate governance and operational processes.
Requirements of the role :
* Keeping up to date with legislative changes nationally.
* Oversee incident management, reporting and investigations with site HSE coordinators.
* Verify completion of corrective actions for investigation close out.
* Support our safety culture by participating in safety meetings and initiatives through consultation with staff.
* Participate and support internal / external auditing requirements.
* Manage & maintain the WHS Management plan and monitoring compliance.
* Monitoring and assessing WHS with legislative and standards changes and assisting Managers implement new initiatives.
* Regularly reviewing the WHS & E systems and reporting upon concerns, improvements and action plans to Management.
* Driving Environmental & Sustainability initiatives through corporate governance.
* Record-keeping in accordance with relevant WHS legislation and standards.
* Compile, analyse & report health & safety and environment statistics and metrics, both Locally and Globally, supporting the Group AVK organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will need :
* A diploma or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or willingness to complete
* Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (365) and SharePoint skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders of all levels
* Auditing, training or investigation experience (desirable)
* Strong collaboration and influence aptitude
* Familiarity with manufacturing environments (desirable)
The salary for this role will be negotiated in line with skills and experience.
