About the role We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Architect (S/4HANA) to lead the design, governance, and delivery of high-quality SAP S/4HANA integration solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This is a key role responsible for ensuring integration solutions align with clean core SAP principles, architectural standards, and business objectives. Key Accountabilities Lead and take accountability for the SAP integration landscape, ensuring high-quality design, development, implementation, and deployment of solutions. Conduct technical design workshops to capture business requirements for downstream applications integrating with SAP S/4HANA, aligned to SAP clean core principles. Translate business and technical requirements into detailed Functional and Technical Design documentation and collaborate with vendor teams to implement solutions. Govern solution delivery to ensure compliance with SAP S/4HANA architecture design patterns and standards. Participate in and support key project phases including SIT, UAT, Cutover, and Hypercare. Triage and manage defect resolution to ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines. Develop, implement, and maintain SAP S/4HANA policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures aligned with corporate strategy. Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, manage transition to support, and provide post-go-live support. Liaise across divisions, non-government stakeholders, business process owners, and Transformation Leads to ensure effective alignment between program development, service design, planning, and policy implementation. Key Knowledge & Experience Proven management experience within a complex, multi-business unit, heterogeneous SAP environment. Demonstrated ability to align SAP technical landscapes and solution options with functional requirements. Experience managing service providers, transitioning projects into support, implementing service improvement plans, and ensuring quality delivery through KPI governance and executive reporting. Strong technical experience across: Cloud environments Linux and Windows Operating Systems SAP HANA & SQL Server Databases SAP S/4HANA, NetWeaver ABAP & Java systems SAP Integration Suite, SAP PO, CPI and transport management tools SAP Cloud components (Identity Management, SAP Mobility Platform, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors) Third-party tools such as ReadSoft Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail. Sound understanding of business operations, processes, objectives, and information flows. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders at senior and executive levels in federated operating environments. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent demonstrated experience, with commitment to ongoing professional development. Proven ability to lead large SAP implementations, provide detailed design documentation to outsourced partners, and manage delivery of highly available, disaster-resilient SAP landscapes. Experience reviewing complex design, impact, risk, and deployment documentation, providing guidance where gaps are identified, and effectively communicating technical changes to business stakeholders. Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to deliver outcomes within tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
