At Pickles, we're transforming how assets move and are reimagined across Australia. We're looking for a commercially savvy Product Manager to lead our Transport & E‐Salvage products, driving smarter logistics, recovery, and resale outcomes across our marketplace.
Reporting into our Head of Product – Digital Selling, you'll ensure your products contribute positively to revenue, manage costs, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Bridging the gap between the strategic vision and on-the-ground execution, working cross-functionally with Tech, Data, Sales, and Operations to define what gets built, why it matters, and how it will be measured.
Responsibilities
* Own product P&L performance – Drive revenue, manage costs, and improve margins across Transport & e‐Salvage products. Regularly reporting on commercial outcomes and adjusting strategy to maximise profitability.
* Set the roadmap – Translate customer, market, and operational insights into clear priorities and initiatives that align with business objectives and the broader Product vision.
* Lead with data – Conduct competitive analysis, gather buyer and vendor feedback, and monitor market trends to ensure the product remains relevant and differentiated in the Pickles marketplace.
* Make smart trade‐offs – Focus investment on high‐impact opportunities using data and commercial judgement.
* Prototype fast with AI – Build functional prototypes, proof‐of‐concepts and MVPs to test with stakeholders, acquire feedback and validate before providing the Tech team with clear and functional briefs for production and scaling.
* Improve user experience – Use behavioural data and insights to optimise journeys and adoption.
* Go‐to‐Market – Partner with Tech, Sales, Ops and Marketing to deliver outcomes and launches.
* Achieve alignment – Manage expectations across Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and executive leadership, communicating the "why" behind product decisions.
* Measure success – Define, track, and report on product KPIs including adoption, engagement, revenue contribution, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
* Proven Product Management experience with P&L accountability
* Strong commercial and analytical mindset
* Experience in marketplace, eCommerce, transport, or salvage environments (highly regarded)
* Ability to influence, prioritise, and deliver in a fast‐paced environment
