About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated registered nurse to join the National Centre for Farmer Health (NCFH) based in Hamilton, Victoria. The centre delivers specialised multidisciplinary, integrated agricultural health services, research, training, and education to farmers, rural professionals, and students across Australia. The Farmer Health Clinician will be passionate about improving farmer health, wellbeing, and safety, with experience working with agricultural communities.
The successful candidate will participate in programs like farmer health checks and AgriSafe clinics, and may represent NCFH at speaking engagements to promote health, wellbeing, and safety education.
This part-time role, until 30 June 2025, covers a maternity leave vacancy with potential for continued employment in part-time or casual roles afterward.
You Will Bring
The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with Division 1 qualification, at least 3 years' postgraduate experience, and current AHPRA registration. A passion for rural and farmer health, understanding of agricultural exposures and risks, and completion of postgraduate unit HMF701 are required.
A valid driver’s license is necessary for travel to remote locations.
You should be organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in managing patient records, referrals, and appointments, with a commitment to excellent customer service and building positive relationships with staff, community, and partners.
