Its role has evolved from the city's first post office into a beloved pub.

Our menu and bar feature local produce sourced through ongoing collaborations with supply partners, bringing you the best in contemporary modern Australian pub fare.The positionsWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Front of House staff member with a passion for great food, wine and people, delivering an amazing customer experience-the essence of hospitality.
The right candidate is outgoing, charismatic with plenty of personality, has excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service and Tasmania's incredible produce and culture.
What you'll get to do Create a positive guest experience and deliver a high level of serviceLead and mentor the team to create "WOW" moments in serviceShow genuine interest in local produce and local eventsEnsure efficient restaurant operationManage bookings and balance seat capacityDaily booking management and reconciliationLead, train and mentor the teamImplement strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales What you need Experience in the restaurant or bar industry, ideally within TasmaniaRSA is essential; a food handling certificate is preferredExcellent communication and team leadership skillsOutstanding service focusStrong knowledge of food and wine, particularly local Tasmanian produceThe pub will be opening in September.
You will receive extensive training on our wine list, menu and operations prior to opening.
Service will be lunch and dinner with typical shifts around 6 hours.
The property will be open most days midday to 10pm, Thursday to Saturday until midnight, and Sunday is lunch service only.
