The role would involve working within a diverse team on the investigation, procurement, construction and project management of geotechnical related projects.
Responsibilities and Activities include (but are not restricted to):
* Compliance with technical standards following Design Manual for Roads and Bridges guidelines.
* Review of reports, investigations, feasibility studies and options assessments.
* Work as part of a team within the North West Minor Improvements group and with other departments.
* Candidates should have experience of geotechnical related projects and risk management as well as knowledge of health and safety, environmental and commercial aspects of schemes.
* Team compliance with CDM Regulations and robust risk assessments.
* Utilizing Transport Scotland's asset management systems and geographical inventory system.
* Cost estimates preparation and internal financial performance monitoring.
* Assisting Graduate Engineers and Technicians within the team.
* Delivering projects within an annual programme of work.
* Timely responses to third party correspondence.
