About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Source to Pay Manager, the Vendor Risk Specialist supports the identification, assessment and ongoing monitoring of third-party risks across the organisation. The role works closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure risks are understood, documented and managed appropriately across the vendor lifecycle.
This is a12 month maximum term contract opportunity.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting vendor risk assessments during onboarding, renewals and material changes
* Coordinating due diligence activities and evidence collection with vendors and internal subject matter experts
* Assessing and documenting risks across areas such as information security, privacy, business continuity, regulatory compliance, operational delivery and financial viability
* Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to review controls, identify gaps and agree remediation actions
* Tracking remediation plans, exceptions and risk acceptances in line with governance requirements
* Maintaining accurate vendor risk records, registers and audit ready documentation
* Monitoring emerging vendor risks and escalating issues as required
* Supporting contract and service agreement reviews from a risk perspective
* Contributing to reporting, dashboards and continuous improvement of vendor risk processes
About You
You are a proactive and organised risk professional who can balance attention to detail with a practical, business focused approach. You are comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and can explain risk clearly and constructively.
You will bring:
* Proven experience in vendor or third-party risk, risk management, compliance, audit or a related field
* A solid understanding of risk and control concepts across security, privacy, resilience and regulatory domains
* Experience reviewing control evidence and identifying risk gaps
* Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, audit ready documentation
* Confidence in managing multiple assessments and priorities at the same time
* Experience using vendor risk, GRC, workflow or procurement systems
