**Your responsibilities will include**:
As the Logistics Operations Manager you will develop and manage material and distribution capabilities providing effective leadership and management to ensure business obligations and customer requirements are met.
As an integral part of the Logistics Team, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver Logistics Operations support to the MH60R Platform.
- Lead and manage diverse teams to ensure contract deliverables are achieved
- Ensure continuous improvement of logistics processes and procedures.
- Manage and mentor Logistics Operations staff in the execution of their duties.
- Prepare briefing material and present briefings to management and internal/external customers
- Lead the creation of an effective organisational culture which recognises and values both individual and team contributions to organisational effectiveness.
- Establish and foster a strong working relationship with key stakeholders
- Ensure Logistics Operations are carried out in accordance with Defence Policy and Procedures, where applicable
**About you**:
To be considered for this opportunity it is expected that you have high level management experience preferably within a Defence environment. To see you succeed in this role you will bring with you:
- Experience working within a Materials and Distribution capability environment with a broad range of experience in areas including logistics, inventory control, materials handling, asset management and warehousing
- Experience developing and improving systems and procedures using initiative
- Experience successfully managing and delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders and departments
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills with the ability to manage through influence and form creative partnerships to achieve business objectives
- Experience and knowledge of Defence Logistics governance Policies and procedures
- Ability to gain Department of Defence security clearance NV1 level.
Desirable:
- Experience leading, managing, developing, and motivating multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
- Understanding of Defence Logistics Supply Chain in an FMS environment
**Special Requirements**:
Applicants** **are required to be able to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Force security clearance.
