The Buildings and Services team are responsible for planning, developing, managing and maintaining all University assets.
The Role
The Space and Interior Design Lead is a member of the Buildings and Services Team. This team focuses on planning and delivering the physical assets, providing strategic physical planning advice and managing accommodation within the University.
The Space and Interior Design Lead has responsibility for ensuring facilities planning services are designed, delivered efficiently and effectively to meet the strategic requirements of the University.
**Qualifications**: Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience, or relevant tertiary qualification with extensive management experience and proven management expertise.
**Experience**:
Experience in scoping stakeholder requirements, brief development and interior design principles and standards.
Experience in developing program plans, coordinating resources, scheduling to ensure delivery of detailed planning requirements and information.
Must have a sound knowledge of all aspects of Project Management and Space Management.
Relevant legislation and standards, particularly the National Construction Code of Australia, OSH and contracts including AS2124, AS4000.
Relevant space design and planning systems experience (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit).
Be inquisitive and courageous in seeking to understand each client and collaboratively develop project-specific conceptual narratives.
Maintain a design focus with the tenacity and rigour to see concepts through detail and on to site.
Be adaptable to manage a shifting project workload.
Have excellent verbal and graphic communication skills.
Have an ability to work independently with clients and consultants.
Demonstrated ability to successfully participate in collaborative teams through the life of the project.
Have knowledge of procurement, construction, detailing and building services.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $134,599 to $151,600 p.a inclusive of 17% University superannuation contribution.
