Smile-A-Mile Fun Bus and Toy Library Incorporated – Coolalinga NT
We're looking for passionate people that understand the value and importance of play to join our toy library.
About the role
You will be responsible for the daily management of the toy library while working closely with the Director. You will assist with membership enquiries, toy borrowing, maintenance, data entry and cataloguing.
Time commitment approximately 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Cataloguing, organising and maintaining our extensive toy library collection.
* Assisting families in borrowing and returning toys from the library.
* Promoting the toy library and mobile playgroup services to the local community.
* Liaising with community partners and ensuring the smooth running of all program activities.
* Providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
Qualifications
* A passion for community development or early childhood education, with relevant skills, lived experience, or a strong desire to build capability in this area.
* Strong organisational and administration skills, with the ability to maintain detailed records.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with people of all ages.
* A passion for supporting families and a commitment to creating positive outcomes for children.
* Working with Children Check and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Working with Children Check and First Aid certifications must be held at the time of application.
* Familiarity with early childhood development and programming would be highly regarded.
* Australian citizenship is required for these positions.
