About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Cost controller Specialist to play a key role in delivering major renewable energy construction projects. Working closely with the Head of Construction, Project Managers and site teams, you'll act as a trusted commercial partner across the full project lifecycle.
This role suits someone who blends strong commercial discipline with clear communication and teamwork, within a genuinely flexible and supportive culture.
Responsibilities
* Own and manage project Capex and Opex budgets with accuracy and confidence
* Prepare clear, reliable monthly cost and cashflow reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Track contractor and supplier payments, progress claims and variations
* Support Project Managers with cashflow forecasting and financial planning
* Maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to monitor procurement, delivery and invoicing
* Collaborate closely with discipline leads to understand progress and resolve issues early
* Ensure compliance with cost control procedures while continuously improving processes
* Provide early visibility of risks and cost pressures, enabling proactive decision-making
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure or major construction projects (highly regarded)
* Previous experience in construction project controls or cost management
* A Project Management Diploma or equivalent qualification
* Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and reporting
* Experience partnering with construction and delivery teams
* Excellent communication skills and a highly organised, detail-driven approach
