We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a After Hours Support Worker
The On Call service provides after hours support, this being the hours between 5pm and 9am the following weekday, it is a 24-hour service during weekends and public holidays.
The On Call Service will remotely manage crisis incidents and other situations that require an immediate after-hours response and also work rostered normal hours of work between 7am and 9am, and also 4pm and 8pm weekdays.
About the role
Provide telephone-based support to clients (Children, Young People, & Carers) as required and liaise with relevant services as necessary to mitigate risk and address immediate need.
Reduce the likelihood of situations and actioning appropriate interventions and supports to avoid escalation.
Provide effective communication, reports, and actions to occur by way of handover and updating of program records and systems.
Consult with the relevant back up manager on complex matters to ensure effective risk mitigation plans are in developed and actioned.
Ensure efficient intake and placement match of any overnight referrals. Ensure that all referrals documented according to OzChild's policy and procedures.
Complete stats reports outlining the type and duration of contacts.
Attend program staff meetings to build relationships with program team members and share and receive feedback about the afterhours service.
Undertake other tasks and contact with clients as an extension of activities undertaken during daytime delivery hours.
Essential
Tertiary qualification in social work, community services or equivalent that is recognised in Australia

* 12-month maternity leave contract working part time 35 hours per fortnight

* SCHCADS 5 $100,776.00 plus on call allowance /super
* Salary Packaging up to $15,900 plus meals and entertainment card - $2,650
