The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Executive Level 1 (PEL1) role within the Financial Systems function. We are seeking an individual who is able and willing to contribute to a high-performing team responsible for delivering and supporting enterprise ERP and financial systems across DPS.
We are seeking experienced professionals with strong technical, functional, or governance expertise to contribute to complex system and business outcomes. This includes supporting and enhancing SAP environments (including ABAP, Fiori/U15 and/or Basis administration), contributing to procurement and contract activities, and delivering solutions aligned to organisational priorities.
The successful applicant will support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of ERP and other solutions, while ensuring adherence to established development, security, and change management standards. The role requires engagement with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritise work, and deliver effective, fit-for-purpose technical and business solutions. You will also contribute to capability uplift through knowledge sharing, documentation, and training activities.
Our ideal candidate will:
* Hold experience in SAP environments, including development (ABAP/Fiori/U15) and/or system administration (BASIS), with the ability to design, develop, test and implement solutions across SAP landscapes.
* Actively and effectively engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritise activities, and deliver technical or process improvements aligned to organisational objectives.
* Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively under limited supervision to achieve outcomes.
* Possess well-developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare specifications, user documentation, and briefings; and to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Build and sustain productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and influence outcomes in the best interest of the organisation.
* Demonstrate experience in delivering and supporting enterprise systems in environments that require strong governance, compliance, and change control practices (e.g. ITIL, SAP ASAP or similar methodologies).
* Demonstrated experience in SAP environments (development, configuration, or administration)
* Uphold Parliamentary Services Values and consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity and sound judgement in the delivery of work.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
