An Australian aerospace engineering and manufacturing organisation developing
advanced electronic systems
for use in
safety critical and regulated environments
is expanding its hardware team and is now hiring an
Electronics Engineer
.
In this role, you will contribute to the full electronics lifecycle across aerospace platforms and subsystems, from clean sheet design through to integration, verification, manufacturing support, and system testing. The position is hands on and delivery focused, working closely with systems, software, mechanical, and production teams to develop reliable electronics suitable for aerospace applications.
This is a full-time position based in Adelaide or Melbourne, with relocation required for interstate candidates.
Responsibilities:
* Working hands on with electronics during bring-up, integration, and fault investigation, supporting both standalone testing and system level integration.
* Producing and maintaining schematics, PCB layouts, and release documentation suitable for manufacturing and long term support.
* Supporting verification, validation, and test activities by planning test approaches, executing lab work, and resolving issues identified during evaluation.
* Designing and owning electronic hardware from early concept through to validated, production ready assemblies, covering analogue, digital, and power circuitry used in aerospace systems.
* Engaging with external suppliers and subcontractors to support component selection, manufacturing, and issue resolution.
* Providing technical review and feedback on hardware designs produced by other engineers, helping to maintain design quality and consistency.
* Supporting production and sustainment by assisting with inspections, resolving build issues, and improving manufacturability where required.
* Developing structured test procedures and documenting results in line with engineering and program requirements.
* Contributing to laboratory activities and on system testing, including involvement in field or flight related activities when required.
* Actively contributing to safer working practices and to ongoing improvements in engineering processes, tools, and internal standards.
Requirements:
* A few years of commercial experience designing and supporting electronic hardware in a product development environment.
* Solid grounding in analogue, digital, and power electronics, with exposure to embedded or avionics style systems.
* A degree qualified Electronics or Electrical Engineer, or equivalent practical background.
* Comfortable working across the full hardware lifecycle rather than focusing only on schematic design or only on testing.
* An interest in working on aerospace or aviation related systems, or other safety critical platforms, where reliability and attention to detail matter.
